Gujarat was formed in 1968, it has since, grown and is respected as one of the most industrialised states in the country. Gujarat has a history dating back 2000 years. Gujarat being a coastal state has also been subjected to many foreign invasions, the Persians, Portuguese and the British, have all resided and ruled over this region.
The roads in the state are in fairly good condition. The Gujarat State Transport Corporation and private operators operate regular buses to all the major places of the state and India.
